We're serious about making new friends and experiencing the love of God together
We have gone to great lengths to help our little ones grow in Christ and keep them safe
We want you to be comfortable knowing you'll find everything you need
Lumber City Church gathers at 10am every Sunday morning at The Hope Center located at 383 Vandervoort Street in North Tonawanda, 1 mile off of Twin Cities Highway between Payne Avenue and Oliver Street.
Come as you are and join us as we celebrate what Jesus is doing in our community and in our own lives.
We'll take care of the kids. Our Lumber City Littles takes care of babies ages 1-2 and preschoolers ages 3-4 and Lumber City Kids Church serves grades K-6th, all in the lower level where you will be.
You'll see tee shirts, you'll see jeans. You'll see ties and jackets and you'll see flannel. Wear what you want. We won't judge. You'll see LOTS of babies and kids. You'll see young and old. One thing we all wear is a SMILE! The band is laid back and all of our music is God glorifying and Christ centered. The teaching is centered in the Word of God and always points our hearts to Jesus.
We would be honored to have you as our guest on any Sunday at 10am. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to discuss before attending.
We believe that God's never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love has the power to change lives.
We believe that He showed the world this love in the sacrificial death of His own Son Jesus, a death that we deserved.
We also believe that there is a life after this one because God raised Jesus from the dead. That gives us hope for eternal life together with each other and with Him.
We believe that God is painting a picture of Himself at Lumber City Church by building a family of friends that follow Him. We believe that you're a part of the picture. If you're ready to get plugged in, contact us right away.

Lumber City Church is bursting at the seams with young families. We've got you covered! Here's what you can expect if you're bringing the whole tribe!
Nursery FAQ’s
If my baby needs me how will I know?
During the initial registration process when you are a new family to our church we ask that you fill out some basic information. We ask for your cell phone number in the event that we need to contact you during service. We will send you a text message if the need arises. If your child cries, our caring volunteers will immediately soothe your child. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will text you.
How do a check my child in and out?
You and your child will receive a check in tag specific to your family. When you check in, we will print a tag for each child as well as a parent tag for pickup. To ensure your child’s safety, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.
What should I bring?
Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name before checking in to Littles. You can bring anything you think your child would like to have with them for their comfort ie- pacifier, blanket, one stuffed animal. We offer water and cheerios to the children during the lesson time. If your child has a favorite water cup, please label it with their name and present it to one of our Littles workers.
What if my child is sick?
For the safety and protection of all of our littlest members we ask that you refrain from checking your child into the Littles room if they have a fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. Thank you in advance for helping us to keep our little ones healthy!
Age Group Breakdowns:
Birth-12 mo. (Mothers and babies Self-Serve Space)
We have a dedicated private area for mothers and babies. It is equipped with a changing table and comfortable seating for moms to feed and care for their little ones.
Volunteer Services provided for children ages 1 and up:
Lumber City Littles (1-2 Year Olds)
In this section, there is space for little ones to crawl, walk, and explore as well as a variety of toys to play with. Our volunteers strive to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of our babies and toddlers while providing a safe and playful environment.
Lumber City Littles (3-4 Year Olds)
Preschool-age kids will enjoy a fun and playful time as they participate in hands-on activities. They will also get a chance to learn through interactive and age-appropriate lessons. Here, kids will sing songs, learn a gospel-centered story, and memorize scripture together. You will be amazed at what they can learn about Jesus!
Lumber City Kids Church (Grades K-6)
We have a dedicated team of teachers who collaborate and work diligently to prepare a challenging, fun and exciting lesson each week. The kids time in Kids Church each week consists of interactive game time in the gym, scripture memory, songs, and a gospel-centered lesson always pointing to our Hero, Jesus. Our desire is to teach kids the TRUTH found in God's Word and to help them fall more and more in LOVE with Jesus.
Check In and Check Out For the safety of all of our children, each child must be checked in prior to going into their respective classrooms. Our older children may with your permission, check themselves in and print their own tag which they will place on their shirt in a visible place. At the end of our church service a parent must check-out their children using the other half of the tag. This tag will have parent's name, child’s name and their unique identifier on it.
Who teaches my child during services? Each of our children’s volunteers has had a thorough background check completed, been interviewed by a member of our Pastoral Leadership Team, and been approved by our Kids Ministry Task Force. Along with this, each worker is asked to train with one of our ministry leaders in the ministry they are going to serve in. This detailed process ensures that we will provide your child with the best possible care in a safe and secure child-friendly environment.
When and where does my child go to their respective classrooms? You can check your child into their respective areas anytime after 9:45 AM. The check-in station is located in the annex near the entrance to the lower level. If you have children in multiple age groups, you can check all of them in and print their tags at this station before taking them to their respective areas.
Celebration Sundays are a family-style worship experience where everyone gathers to worship together, celebrate what we have learned in the past session of the Bible Engagement Project, pray, and take communion together. We encourage families to engage their children with them in worship, prayer, and teach them of communion. The Littles area is available self-serve as needed.
Check out the Bible Engagement Project calendar here for a list of Celebration Sunday dates.
Pastor Chad Rieselman is our Lead Pastor . He and his wife Christina serve a team of elders. The Eldership consists of The Day to Day team, The Pastoral Leadership Team and The Church Council. These teams collaborate and cooperate to serve the mission of the church to make disciples that "Are willing to give everything they are to Jesus and share everything they have with Him and every person that comes in their path, everywhere, every day of their lives with every breath and with every beat of their heart that God gives them"
We love to make new friends. Be our guest as we seek the real presence of God together
